Picture frames have been around for hundreds of years. There are desk picture frames, standee picture frames, but the most common and oldest sort would certainly be the wall picture frames. Ever since the Renaissance period, people have been using frames for their oil paint paintings. The real difference now, though, is that although a few are still using the frames for paintings, with technology’s assistance, everybody’s using these frames for the pictures.

Almost all houses have got wall picture frames; a simple thing which will help remind them of a number of the most significant occasions in their lives. A birth, baptism, birthday, graduation, vacation, promotion, wedding party; all of these are recorded and can be viewed and remembered by each member of the household simply by looking at the framed photos. Puzzles are one way of easing our boredom or making time pass. We have all tried to solve one. It may have been a crossword, jigsaw or other simple puzzles you see in activity books. But there is a more challenging, more intriguing and more fun puzzle that you can enjoy, especially for those who love solving different puzzles. If a jigsaw puzzle has you dealing with pieces to form a picture of, say a dragon; a 3D puzzle will let you assemble a structure of a dragon. Instead of seeing from a flat picture, the solved puzzle pops out as a live structure.

A 3D puzzle can be viewed at different angles. You may look at them from the bottom, top, front, or even back. Depth perception is important to be able to solve the puzzle correctly. It is more difficult because you cannot just guess what the next piece is simply by looking at the shape of the already formed pieces and comparing the available ones. With 3D puzzles, each piece is more or less unique and requires you to consider not just the adjacent pieces but the whole model itself. Pictures, diplomas, certificates and other printed artworks remind us of our achievements, hard labor or simply the happy moments in life. They deserve to be displayed on walls or on table tops always ringing a bell whenever we see them. Placing them on unique photo frames would extend their life span thus allowing them to last a little longer.

However, we have not really seen unique photo frames until just recently. The design of such frames have always been plain square or rectangular. And although there are variations in color, size and embossed patterns, they are not pretty much that of an innovation. The designs are stuck to the concept of apparently protecting whatever is cased in. And so the creations were either gold plated or crystal imbedded with a clear glass covering which we either hang at the wall or put in a stand.
