Bustiers and corsets are in fashion again for 2010, the boom is thanks mainly to the popularity of celebrities like Lady GaGa and Rihanna. The corset can achieve things no other garment can and celebrities know that. They will reduce your waist instantly, improve your confidence and posture, can be glamorous, eye-catching and worn in many various ways.

But do I wear a corset top, basque or bustier lingerie? The answer to this is to define the difference between a corset top, basque and bustier. The corset top is an over garment which has the design form to sculpt the body into the hourglass shape. The bustier is an article of women’s clothing which can be worn as an undergarment or an over garment, depending on personal taste and the style.

The design of the bustier is similar to a corset, although it tends to be less restrictive. The garment extends from the bosom to the waistline, and is lightly boned. A bustier serves two primary purposes, the first function offers support to the breasts, both making the wearer more comfortable and creating cleavage, and also to shape the waistline slightly.  Read more...
