Lingerie looks have been seen decorating several collections on the catwalks lately for the 2010 season, and the underwear-as-outerwear design to be seen, is in evidence with fashionable retailers.

Whether it is floral bras visible inside see-through tops or unbuttoned shirts, bra-dresses, bustiers, filmy camisoles beneath tailored suiting, silken tap-pants seen beneath a brief tunic, lace-trimmed French knickers under a flimsy slip-dress, or a full-on wasp-waisted corset putting renewed emphasis on the bust, the “I-forgot-to-put-on-my-dress” look is with us again.

So underwear as overwear lingerie is a definite YES, but only if you can wear it right. The key to showing off your underwear in 2010, is to keep it small and simple. Don’t go over the top with the skin display, lace bodies are a great way to start the underwear-outerwear trend, they are literally everywhere, easily paired with shorts, skirts, leggings, but don’t just wear them on their own though, team it with a pair of silk shorts and a blazer for instant class.

What can be worn with the corset? A combination of skirt, blouse and wide belt, is actually the best clothing with the corset because it can be worn on almost every occasion. Basques and corsets are back in fashion again in 2010, it is not a secret, the trend is largely due to the huge popularity of celebrities like Rihanna and Lady GaGa. The corset will obtain things for celebrities that no other garment can. The corset or basque will reduce the waist instantly, improve confidence and posture, can be glamorous, eye-catching and worn in several ways.

Rihanna the singer and umbrella hit maker flaunted her sexy curves and brought New York to a stand still when she stepped out in an eye-popping outfit for a shopping trip; she was seen in a satin corset under a pink cardigan, and teamed it with a pair of white jeans and pink shades. Lady GaGa has recently been seen in a metallic corset to promote her single and when interviewed for Rolling Stone magazine appeared to be wearing nothing but a Perspex corset with a few carefully placed bubbles.

Women and Men attract each other in a multitude of ways. They do it by dress, hairstyle and even breath. Some will even use perfume or cologne to enhance the appeal of their scent.

There are a number of fragrances out there. Musk, floral, and citrus are just a few. These are the most popular ones. Lavender, evergreen and vanilla are a few others that do not belong in any of these categories.

Applying the fragrance can be done in a few ways. The easiest way is via a spray or mist. You can also roll it on, or dab with a special wand. Anyway you choose to use it, precautions should be taken.

While most people enjoy the scent of citrus or flowers, some are very sensitive to them. These sensitivities range from just the smell of a certain scent to an all out allergy. I think a lot of people wear perfume because they do not like their natural smell. Some people wear it because they like the smell of it or because it is the type that has pheromones in it and it is made to attract the opposite sex.

My mother has her favorites, but every time she gets a favorite, the companies stop making it. If I had to choose a favorite one I would have a hard time because there are many of them that I like. It does not matter the price or the look of them because different ones just do not smell right on me. Not all of them will smell right on everyone. Just because it may smell right on my mother does not mean that it will smell right on me.

My mother has her favorites but when she starts liking them too much the companies always seem to stop making them for everyone. I have found some of her favorites online through auctions and I always try to get them for Christmas for her. The kind she likes is very expensive but I can find them in bulk online so its not so bad.  Read more...

Men and women have used some type of cosmetics for millennia. The purposes may have differed throughout the years – everything from denoting a particular place in a social structure up to and including pure vanity – but for whatever reason they were used, cosmetics are here to stay.

Throughout the centuries even men have used some type cosmetics. During the time of Louis XIV, all wealthy men in society wore powdered wigs, rouge on their cheeks, and dried ochre on their lips. Their wives even figured out how mix some fairly good quality foundations and moisturizers using what amounted to household ingredients: animal fats, paint and dried vegetables. These early cosmetics could actually be the first “all natural” products on the market!

In the early part of the 20th century, cosmetics became popular purchases at the corner drug store. Up till then, cosmetics had never been mass produced. It took the new movie industry to make that possible. Rich, poor, beautiful, and plain all ran to the new make up counters to see and to buy.
